Publishers’ dark green cloth with silver titles to spine in unclipped pictorial dust-jacket. Cover cloth very lightly rubbed at spine tips and jacket a little creased head of spine, otherwise fine. Signed by both Author Laddie Lucas and Subject Douglas Bader, in year of publication, to title page.
Lively biography authorised by Bader and supplemented by his private papers, log books, notes and photographs. Lucas was also an RAF fighter in World War II, and as a relative of Bader by marriage was uniquely placed to tell his story.
