Vol I x, 414 pp; Vol II [2], pp 415- 780, [2] Plate Index & Corrections. 15 pp plates as called for of which 8 full page, with the addition of an extra plate of Andersion Place as frontispiece to Vol II. Book Condition: Very Good. Half red calf with five raised bands; gilt titles and decoration to spine and gilt ruling to corners. Aeg; primrose yellow endpapers and green silk placemarkers. Spines lightly sunned; wear to corners and a few small bumps to edge. Boards and edges scuffed. Scattered foxing & offsetting; creasing to free endpapers Vol I. No annotation or inscriptions; small leather armorial bookplate of Eric Sexton to front pastedowns. The two volumes are commonly bound as one; this set is presented as the publishers intended with the division as recommended at p 414. An excellent set. £400.00
