INSCRIBED FIRST EDITION. [14], 211 pp. 18 illustrations including frontispiece portrait of the Author; 4 folding maps to rear. Original maroon cloth with gilt titles and crest to spine; gilt titles and gilt motif to upper board. Spine a little toned and gilt dull. Endpapers toned; scattered foxing mainly to textblock edge and margins. Pictorial bookplate of James Robert Hall to front pastedown with associated inscription to ffep: “ J R Hall with kind regards from the Editor 25th February 1920”. A little marginal annotation in pencil and “x” mark to presentation leaf. Maps slightly misfolded with associated nicks & creases to edge of General Map. Overall a sound Very Good copy.
 
History of the Battalion from raising in 1914, right through the campaigns of the Great War. Includes Rolls of Officers and Honour, and Awards. Scarce.
