Second Impression. Octavo, pp xvi, 178. 24 plates as called-for including frontispiece of “The Sergeant”, from illustrations by James McBey, official artist with the Egyptian Expeditionary Force. Fold-out Map of the Desert Campaigns to rear. Original decorative tan cloth with black titles, with scene depicting the camel corps in blind above titles. Cover cloth lightly bruised top edge with lightly creased spine tips. Printed address and number labels to front pastedown; ownership inscription with list to ffep. A little very minor foxing to prelims otherwise a clean, bright copy. Very Good.
 
The ownership inscription to ffep is of Captain G S Mather of the RAMC 1st Lowland Field Ambulance, with a list in his hand of the battles in which he served during 1916-17 below, which feature in the text. Author W T Massey was the offical correspondent for London newspapers and gives a detailed account of the Great War campaign in which Capt. Mather took part.
