FIRST EDITION. Octavo, pp [4], vii, [1], 220. Frontispiece of the Prince of Wales as Grand Master of English Freemasons(later Edward VII) with tissue guard and plate of St Nicholas’ Cathedral in Newcastle. Publishers’ royal blue cloth with gilt titles to spine and upper board, and double border in blind to boards. Primrose yellow endpapers. Spine toned and rubbed with minor loss at tips; boards worn at corners. A slightly shaken copy with a little scattered foxing (mainly to early and late leaves); ownership inscription in pencil to Contents page and toning to leaves adjacent to endpapers otherwise contents clean. Good.
