Cover cloth bright; inscribed tidily to front pastedown: “L. Whyte from G.C.W”. Light foxing to text-block edge otherwise contents clean. Jacket toned to spine with a few nicks & creases to edge, minor wear at spine tips and 1-inch tear at upper edge of lower joint; Number 821 inscribed to spine. A Near Fine copy in Very Good jacket.
Novel by the American writer (1871-1947), not to be confused with the contemporary British Prime Minister of the same name. A remarkably well preserved early 20th novel in its original 1915 dust-jacket.
