Errata slip bound-in. 135 numbered plates over both volumes, with 130 illustrations in text; lightly grangerised copy with the addition of 9 extra illustrations of which 3 are postcards, 2 original photographs and the remaining 4 from magazines, 2 with accompanying text. Book Condition: Very Good. Publishers’ purple bevelled cloth with gilt titles to spine and upper board. Top edge gilt, others uncut. Spines sunned as usual with creasing to tips; minor wear at corners. Gift letter dated 1910 to front pastedown; a little annotation in pencil in text. Scattered foxing mainly to prelims and endpapers and faint marks from adhesive tape to protective mylar to endpapers (tape is not stuck to book, just to mylar) Still the standard work on the subject. £85.00
