Original black cloth with gilt titles to spine, red titles to upper board and decoration in red to spine and upper board; border and foliate motif in blind to lower board. Errata slip bound-in. Covers lightly scuffed with very minor wear at joints and bruised corners; unobtrusive splash stains to lower board. Endpapers toned; scattered light foxing, mainly to textblock edge. Chip to foredge pp 253/4 which has been carelessly opened, affecting margin only. No annotation or inscriptions. Overall Very Good. Day-by-day lively narrative of a journey from Liverpool to America aboard steamship “City of Rome” then right across to San Francisco and back by railroad. £35.00
