Full polished calf by Thurnam of Carlisle with 4 raised bands, gilt embossed black title labels, gilt decoration to compartments and gilt ruling to spine and boards. All edges marbled; moss green endpapers. Wear with minor loss at head of spine Vol I and tail of spine Vol III; corners bruised and upper joint Vol III tender but holding. Ownership inscription and address, both in pencil, to endpapers Vol III only; no further annotation or inscriptions. Binder’s ticket to front paste-down of each volume.
