Poster approx 74cm x 50 cm, with yellow-and-white striped background and dramatic blue roofscape design below main body of text. Creases from historic folding with a little minor wear at folds; repairs to reverse with small portion of tape overlapping onto front surface at lower edge, and brown marks central top edge of reverse from removed adhesive tape.
This post-War service was conducted at Welfare Park in Amble in Sunday 23rd September 1945 by Rev G.J. Barrow, to give thanks for the end of hostilities - the war officially ended on the 2nd September 1945. A Drum Head Service is one intended for soldiers on active service and most members of the Armed Forces would wait some time to be demobilised. Necessarily ephemeral and likely unique.
