Life story of Nancy Spain, (1917-1964) writer, literary critic and popular panellist on BBC television shows including “What’s My Line?”. The Jesmond-born journalist was a columnist for the Newcastle Journal, News of the World and Daily Express, and she died in a plane crash on the way to Aintree to cover the Grand National.
