Almost 300 monochrome photographic plates, most of which are full-page including frontispiece of Layer Marney Towers, plus 43 pp. measured drawings, some multi-image and others full page. Publishers’ sage green cloth with gilt titles to spine and upper board, in unclipped pictorial dust-jacket. Very slightly shaken but a sound copy; very light foxing to text-block edge otherwise contents clean, with no annotation or inscriptions. Jacket creased at head of s[pine with associated small nick. Very Good in like jacket.
 
The standard work on English bricks and their usage, with a meticulously annotated photographic record of brick structures, originally published in 1925. Heavyweight so a contribution towards increased postage costs will be requested for overseas delivery.
