Photogravure portrait frontispiece of the Author; 24 full-page coloured plates with captioned tissue guards and 3 full-page monochrome plates, all by W.H. Riddell; numerous illustrations within text, many by the Author. Publishers’ reeded bottle green cloth with gilt titles to spine and t.e.g, others uncut, in unclipped cream dust-jacket. Slight crease to cover cloth at tail of spine otherwise clean and bright. Tidy ownership inscription in pencil to ffep dated in year of publication; no annotation; a little light scattered foxing, mainly to text-block edge and endpapers. Jacket faintly toned and soiled, with a little creasing top edge and small nicks head of spine. A Near Fine copy in Very Good jacket. Chapman’s final autobiographical sporting memoir, published posthumously. A popular book and common enough in its day but scarce in such a well preserved 1930 dust-jacket. £95.00
