Demy octavo. Title page and 31 plates as called for, of which 30 are double-page maps, hand coloured in outline; 5 are fold-out. Contemporary brown polished half-calf with 4 raised bands and marbled paper-covered boards. Spine rubbed with wear at tips and cracks top and tail of lower joint; edges worn with small loss to corners, and boards scuffed. Ownership inscription partially crossed through to front paste-down, and another to rear paste-down; lacks ffep. Minor annotation to title page and to 6 maps (to either margin or reverse only); 4 cm split at centre of England & Wales map with associated creasing. Some surface soiling and creasing.
