The comprehensive study of the war work of Official War Artist Eric Ravilious (1903-42), who died on active service during the Second World War. Ravilious’ duties took him around Britain to airfields, military bases and ports, and his iconic illustrations reflect the varying experiences of life during the period, from HMS Ark Royal in Action, Lysander aircraft in the Snow and the Home Security Control Room, to views of chalk hill-figures glimpsed from a train journey, and an al-fresco tea for two. Scarce with the prospectus. Heavyweight so a contribution towards increased postage costs will be requested for overseas delivery.
