Hand-coloured folding map by Cary to fore; 7 engraved plates including frontispiece; 3 in-text engravings including Arms of the Priory of Knaresborough by John Bewick. Half calf with gilt titles to red label to spine, and marbled paper-covered boards Boards scuffed with minor wear to corners and edge; spine lightly creased. Scattered foxing, mainly to prelims and endpapers otherwise contents clean; monogram to front paste-down, repated to corner of title page. A Very Good copy.
