Octavo, pp. viii, 574, [2]; [8], 384, [2] Index to advertisements plus pp. 184, 8, 8 all adverts plus fold-out advertisement for Mechi’s of Leadenhall Street to rear. 510 wood and steel engravings throughout (360 to North-Western and 150 to Lancaster and Carlisle). Sympathetically re-backed in pink cloth using original boards with original spine laid-on; gilt titles to spine and upper board and decoration in blind to boards; new endpapers; aeg. Original covers sunned and stained with wear at corners and edges, and loss to original spine. Ownership stamps of John Tobin, the Town Clerk of New Ross, to several leaves; no annotation or inscriptions. A Very Good sound copy.
 
Official railway guides with detailed descriptions of the settlements and environs en route including history, architecture and commerce. Scarce.
