LIMITED EDITION of 200 copies. Octavo. 73 pp, [3]. 4 maps (of 5, lacking 14th century map) of which one folding. Book Condition: Very Good. Dark green cloth with gilt titles to spine and upper board. Boards a little stained with bruised corners, minor wear head of spine; a shaken copy with weak inner hinges and fingermarking throughout. Endpapers toned with Recreation Club stamp and inscriptions to rear pastedown; further stamps to pp 73 and Map IV. Map II complete but detached at fold. First edition in book form, "recast from an earlier essay and read at a meeting of the Glasgow Archaeological Society... reprinted (with a slight addition) from the Society's Transactions". Scarce.
