Prize Binding. Royal octavo, pp , iv, 823. Frontispiece portrait of Scott, engraved title page and 24 engraved plates, each with tissue guard, plus facsimile letter. Midnight blue full calf by Bickers & Son of Leicester, with 5 raised bands, gilt titles and decoration to compartments, gilt ruled and foliate borders to boards and school crest to upper board; tooled dentelles. Aeg; marbled endpapers. Spine and portion of upper board lightly sunned; edges rubbed. Royal Grammar School printed prize plate dated 1909 to front pastedown, completed in ink. A little scattered light foxing mainly to prelims, and a little offsetting otherwise contents clean and tight. A Very Good copy indeed.
