FIRST EDITION. Octavo, pp. vii, [3], 237. Frontispiece plan; 145 figures including 7 folding tables & diagrams and numerous monochrome photographs. Publishers’ yellow cloth with brown titles to spine and upper board, in unclipped grey dust-jacket. Cover cloth and spine toned and surface soiled with repair at head of spine/lower joint. Free endpapers toned; ownership inscription to half-title dated 1930. Jacket toned & soiled with minor loss at head of spine and corners, 2-inch tear at upper front joint and a couple of small closed tears with associated creasing to lower edge. Overall a Good copy in like jacket.
 
Very well illustrated & comprehensive overview of London’s railway system. Scarce, particularly in the original 1928 dust-jacket.
