Reeded maroon red cloth with gilt titles in decorative cartouche to upper board inside foliate border in blind to upper board, with matching design all in blind to lower. Primrose yellow endpapers. Cover cloth rubbed with minor wear at corners, and to spine with splits but no loss. Gift inscribed at head of title page: “To Miss Forrest as a small token of regard from The Author”. A Good copy in attractive publishers cloth Romantic epic set in the mountains of Ireland, with a selection of verse including several with a Scottish borders connection and an “Address to the Ladies, Versatile Polishers of Mankind”.
