Publishers’ finely reeded purple cloth with gilt titles to spine and border in blind to boards; all edges sprinkled red. Spine sunned, with wear at tips. An ex-library copy with the usual stamps and stickers, and remains of card pocket to front pastedown; contents otherwise clean and crisp with few signs of library use. A Good copy. Part of the multi-volume series of selected documents dealing with the origins of the Great War. This volume covers the Balkan wars, the Potsdam meeting of the German and Russian Emperors and Anglo-Russian friction in Persia, and includes much from the private papers of Sir Edward Grey and Lord Carnock.
