First edition. Small quarto, pp., 67, [1]. With 48 full-page captioned and numbered monochrome photographic plates as called for. Publishers’ grey cloth with silver titles to blue panel to spine, in unclipped printed yellow dust-jacket. Lower corner of upper board bumped, and fore-edge of lower board very slightly bruised. Contents clean and crisp. Inscribed by the Scottish artist Ian Fleming (1906 -1994) in ink to ffep: “ To Ed. Powell With best wishes to a big hearted gentleman. With warm admiration from Ian Fleming Dec. 45 B.O.A.R.” (British Army of the Rhine). Dust-jacket a little scuffed and lightly surface soiled with minor loss to spine tips. A near fine copy in very good jacket.
