Undated but pre the 1895 change of name to “Raphael Tuck & Sons Ltd”. Softcover octavo picture book, pp., 12. Colour printed covers, two full page illustrations and double-page spread in colour, plus line drawings throughout. Stapled pictorial card wraps with cutaway die-cut front cover featuring a tabby cat wearing a dinner napkin. Staples rusted and text-block detached; wear to spine and covers lightly surface soiled & creased. Four-digit number in a small neat hand inscribed inside front cover; toned edge to first leaf (from spaces in cutaway cover) and leaf tips corners creased, otherwise contents clean with no annotation. Charming children’s picture book containing seven short stories in verse with accompanying illustrations. Tuck Number 594, from their Artistic Series.
