From the library of Richard Cullen. Gift inscribed “For my friend, Tom Pickard, [...] Morden Tower 15/7/71”. Morden Tower being the legendary Newcastle poetry venue ran by Tom and his wife Connie, located inside a medieval turret. The nucleus of Newcastle counter-culture, Morden Tower hosted everyone from Allen Ginsberg, Seamus Heaney and Ted Hughes to power electronics band Whitehouse.
