Pictorial stiff pink paper wraps, printed in red, blue, and yellow to upper cover; publisher’s advertisements printed to lower cover. Spine re-sewn, soiling and 1cm tear to edge of upper cover, pencil doodles to lower cover. Light foxing and small ink numeral to corner first page, occasional very slight offsetting to text pages. A used but solid copy. A very scarce toy book, published by Frederick Warne, a pioneering publishing of durable full colour juvenile books. ‘Aunt Louisa’ was the pseudonym of Laura Valentine, general editor at Warne responsible for writing dozens of educational and entertaining books for juvenile readers. £85.00
