Publisher’s black buckram, titled in gilt to spine, armorial in gilt to upper board. Book label of one ‘T. MacKenzie Fowler’ to front paste-down. Sympathetically rebacked. Contents clean and bright. A very good copy.
 
M. R. James' palaeographical and bibliographical catalogue for the Fitzwilliam manuscript collection which describes over 200 items. James is perhaps better known for his ghost story collections, many of which were directly inspired by the images found within the manuscripts he catalogued.
