First-hand account of the first ascent of Everest by lead climber Wilfrid Noyce, the first member of the expedition to reach the South Col; poems written by the Author during the expedition are included, and many of the photographs are also his work. Signed copies are rare; Noyce was tragically killed in a climbing accident at the age of 44 in 1962.
