A collection of strange tales by various authors, inspired by Hanns Ewers (1871-1943) whose major literary themes were obsession, depravity and blood. He travelled extensively worldwide, was a propagandist/spy during WWI, screenwriter, poet, playwright, early activist for homosexual rights, correspondent with Aleister Crowley, experimental drug user, and had associations with members of the Nazi elite. Ewers’ original published works are rare and have only fairly recently been made available through Side Real Press in, as here, limited editions of 350 copies.
