Corners lightly bumped and rubbed, joints and hinges strong, very slight wear to cloth, gilt bright. Very light toning, previous owner’s inscription to front-free end-paper, else internally clean. A very good copy. A scarce theological study by an eminent Bible scholar. Schonfield (1901-1988) wrote widely on Biblical translation and interpretation.
