A re-imagining of composer Sir Edward Elgar’s journey along the Amazon River. This copy is from the library of David Lodge (there is no ownership signature but we bought Lodge’s library) and contains his marginal annotations. Lodge thought highly of the novel, mentioning in his autobiography his opinion that it was a contender for the Booker Prize.
