Publisher’s original scarlet cloth; titled in gilt to spine; top edges gilt, other edges untrimmed; white end-papers. Slight toning to spines; spine-tips slightly softened; bindings strong and square. Contents slightly toned but clean and free of inscriptions. A very good set, rather bright. A lovely two-volume classic set of Dumas’ beloved tale of adventure and camaraderie. The illustrator, Edmund Garrett, illustrated many of Dumas’ novels, including The Count of Monte Cristo. £75.00
