The first edition of the autobiography of modernist poet, artist, and firebrand Wyndham Lewis. Perhaps best known for his vorticist ‘Blast’ magazine, Lewis drew inspiration from industrial architecture (including the Tyne Bridge, which he incorporated into a woodblock design), the Italian futurists, and his contemporaries James Joyce, T. S. Eliot and Ezra Pound. This autobiography is an account of the first generation of modernists from a practitioner who was immersed in the movement.
