A collection of War Poetry by Anglo-Irish fantasy writer and poet Lord Dunsany (1878-1957). Dunsany had an extensive military career; he was Second Lieutenant in the Coldstream Guards in the Second Boer War, Captain in the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers in Derry, and served in the later stages of the First World War. The poems here are mostly concerned with the Second World War, where Dunsany served as part of the British Home Guard at Shoreham, which was the most bombed town during the Battle of Britain.
