Publishers navy blue cloth with bevelled boards, gilt titles to spine; gilt motif with double ruled border to upper board and matching border in blind to lower board. Spine tips and corners a little rubbed. Foxing to end-papers and prelims. Hinges slightly cracked but holding well. Toning to the text-block edges. History of the Newcastle hospital from foundation in the eighteenth century, until closure and replacement by the Royal Victoria Infirmary in 1906 (popularly known locally as the RVI and still one of Newcastle’s major hospitals). £65.00
