Cup-ring to upper board; mottling to upper board; soiling to head of spine and lower board; corners bumped; hinges cracked but holding. Occasional spots to contents; gatherings a little stiff. A good working copy. An account of travels in the provinces of Moldavia and Wallachia, which were at the time occupied by Russia. The 1850s were a time of significant unrest in the provinces, which would culminate with the unification of Moldavia and Wallachia as the state of Romania in 1859. Scarce. £285.00
