Cream cloth boards a touch soiled and foxed. Tissue-guard detached. With a contemporary ownership inscription in ink to front free endpaper of one ‘John Gibson’, dated August 1922.
A rare and detailed obituary of Newcastle antiquarian John Clayton (1792-1890). Clayton worked alongside John Dobson and Richard Grainger on the redevelopment of city according to the Grainger Plan.
