Edwin John Victor Pasmore, (1908–1998) was a pioneer of British post-war abstract art, known for a number of public art installations of the North East of England. The second version of Burning Waters is a revised and reimagined version of his earlier 1988 project, with new images and a rearrangement of the verse.
