Light foxing to endpapers, title page and page edges otherwise a very clean copy. Lengthy gift inscription signed by the author to ffep dated 1949. Well illustrated throughout. "An account of the field experiences of the author and Russell W Hendee on the expedition of The Colorado Museum of Natural History to Bering Strait and the Arctic coast in 1921-1922". Bailey (1894-1978) was Director of the Museum for over thirty years; he undertook numerous expeditions to many remote parts of the world and contributed regularly to periodicals such as "National Geographic".
