Spine a little shaken; shelf-wear to corners. Internally clean. A very good copy.
 
Benjamin Farjeon (1838-1903) was a Jewish-Australian novelist, a gold prospector, an admirer of Dickens, and father of children’s illustrator Eleanor Farjeon (1881-1965). A supernatural novel narrated by an English prison doctor, who believes the heinous crimes of ‘inmate 43’ were not conducted under her own power, but by her husband’s mind control.
