This copy belonged to fantasy artist James Cawthorn, close friend, co-author and illustrator of the Elric graphic novels, and collaborator with Moorcock for over forty years; Cawthorn's art and Moorcock's literature made for a sucessful symbiotic relationship. With a leaf of original artwork by James Cawthorn, illustrated both sides, loosely inserted next to the printed illustration at p. 78.
