Publisher’s colour-printed pictorial paper-covered boards; grey patterned end-papers. Gift inscription dated 1920 to title-page. Covers soiled and scuffed with minor loss at spine tips and wear at corners. Inner hinges cracked but holding; ffep creased with a little minor loss at lower corner. An internally bright copy. Comprehensive record of Birkenhead’s record of service including fund-raisers, volunteer workers, ship builders and service providers, with a diary of local events during the wartime period.
