Undated [1926]. FIRST EDITION. Octavo. xxiv, 240 pp. 32 full-page photographic plates including frontispiece of Jack Dempsey with the Author. Book Condition: Good. Publishers' red cloth with gilt titles to spine and motif in blind to upper board. Spine sunned with minor wear at tips; top corner of upper board bumped and corners of lower board bruised. Inner hinges repaired with adhesive tape; numerous similar repairs at hinge to leaves and plates (margins only, text and illustrations unaffected). Light toning to endpapers and a little minor scattered faint foxing.
 
History of boxing featuring matches and fighters from many nations including France, Germany and other European countries as well as the USA and UK and including fighters like Jack Dempsey, Kid Lewis, Jack Johnson and Tommy Ryan. The final chapter chronicles some facts on boxing such as the identity of the original “Nonpareil” and many other interesting pieces of information.
