Softcover quarto. 32 sepia-tone plates tipped-in to captioned leaves. Printed grey card wraps with cream cord ties, and colour pictorial onlay to upper cover. Covers a little creased, with minor wear to head of spine, small indentations to lower cover and minor staining to front fore-edge. First leaves lightly foxed; very slight damp stain affecting margin only of last 8 captioned leaves (plates unaffected). A Very Good copy.

The 32 featured engines include examples from Spain, Burmah and New Zealand as well as locations around the UK, and the captions include the gauge and cylinders as well as capacity, weight and other technical specifications.
