FIRST EDITION. Octavo, pp. vi, [1], 6-38. Decorative title vignette, initials, head and tailpieces. Rebound in modern fawn thin card wraps. Some slight soiling to titlepage and final page of text, otherwise a crisp, clean copy.
First and only edition of this scarce report into corruption and price fixing within the 1730s Newcastle coal industry. A precursor to the later limitation coal vend, a cartel of North East coal owners who artificially inflated the price of coal. ESTC lists only a handful of copies held at UK institutions and rare in commerce.
