Novel with themes of fear, impotence and sexual incompatibility, told in the form of diary entries that each half of a couple keep, by the award-winning Japanese writer Junichiro Tanizaki. The 1960 film “Odd Obsession” was based upon the story, winning a special prize at the Cannes Film Festival that year.
