Cover cloth rubbed, with wear at spine tips and corners, and bruised corners. A slightly shaken copy with weak inner front hinge but firmly holding. Free endpapers toned, with ownership inscription to ffep above “ghost” mark from erased inscription; 2cm tear to half-title at hinge with associated creasing. A Good copy.
Alice Ann Bailey (1880-1949), the British-American theosophical author was one of the first writers to use the term “New Age”. This work is an important introduction to her concept of the mysteries of spirituality including the Seven Rays, chakras, meditation and soul control, and the furtherance of benevolent spirituality and the material evolution of humanity.
