Bound in quarter vellum and pale blue paper over publisher’s boards, gilt fillet to vellum edge, gilt titles to spine, all edges uncut. With the original publisher’s cream dust-jacket. Dust-jacket lightly faded to spine, slightly finger-marking with some miniscule nicks to top edge. A fine copy in a near fine dust-jacket.
An excellent copy of this charming illustrated edition of De La Mare’s first published work. Many of the pages unopened, the book appears unread and is a rare survival in the original 1923 dust-jacket. Boldly signed by De La Mare to the limitation leaf.
