SIGNED FIRST EDITION. Octavo. 368 pp. Book Condition: Very Good. Jacket Condition: Fair. Red cloth with black titles to spine in unclipped pictorial dust-jacket. Cover cloth lightly edge rubbed. Dust wrapper creased, nicked and torn with loss of spine – remaining covers protected inside transparent sleeve. Signed by the author to ffep with date 1941. The author (1890-1946) was awarded the DSO and Military Cross for his exploits as a gunner in the First World War then became involved with Fascist organisations and Scottish Nationalism in the inter-war period. He was a prolific author of both military history and adventure novels and also worked as a freelance journalist.
