Publisher's red cloth with blind border to upper board and black titles & ruling to spine. Spine lightly sunned and rubbed at tips; upper front corner bruised. Endpapers toned with marks to each pastedown where jacket has been stuck down then removed; name & address of Harold J Butter to front pastedown. Inner front hinge a little weak but holding; no annotation or inscriptions. Acount of the campaign against German territories in Togoland and the Cameroons in 1914-16 including many references to West African troops.
